Working in math education for 20 years, she has developed curriculum for teachers at the Epiphany School in Boston, for the summer math camp component at Good Pickin’ Farm in Westford, MA, and the Hudson Lab School in Hastings, NY.

Testimonials

“Both of my daughters participated in Fran’s math pod during their elementary and middle school years, and the experience was outstanding. Fran has a rare ability to meet students exactly where they are while still challenging them to grow. She explains concepts clearly, fosters curiosity, and builds confidence in a way that makes math feel approachable and even enjoyable. My daughters not only strengthened their math skills, but also developed problem-solving strategies and a genuine sense of independence as learners. We are incredibly grateful for the foundation Fran helped build and highly recommend her to any family looking for thoughtful, effective math instruction.”

“I can’t say enough about Fran. I’ve never met a math tutor so well rounded (academics and personality)! That’s why we consistently used her for over 7 straight years!! Fran’s knowledge of math is paramount and can stretch your needs from early elementary all the way to high school! She’s compassionate, flexible, committed, reliable, and boy does she know her stuff! She challenged, stretched and accelerated content for my kids when she saw fit and also broke things down and revisited topics when remediation and foundational skill building were needed. Parents and kids love Fran and I can’t recommend her enough!”

“I have met with Fran before every one of my math tests for the past few years, and I simply cannot put into words how much she has helped me succeed towards being the math student that I am today.”

“The math pod made learning fun and prepared me for future lessons in school. I loved it so much!”

Nathan, age 12, New York

“At first, my 10-year-old son was not excited about an afterschool Math Pod. But after just one session with Fran and 5 other classmates, he came saying it was ‘actually really fun!’ and was thrilled that his team had won the math treasure hunt!”

Kelly, Irvington, NY

“Fran’s SAT tutor lessons were a great help in improving my score for the exam. Thanks to [this] tutoring, I managed to get a 740 on the math section, and my SAT score raised overall from a 1250 to a 1420! The lessons we did helped go into depth in some of the more difficult parts covered on the SAT and overall prepared me well. I was quite lost prior to these lessons because most of the websites and textbooks I had been using were not much of a help. Though, after a month of tutoring, the math section was a breeze for me. These tutor lessons saved my SAT score for me and really helped with my overall math knowledge in school as well.”

Baruch, Age 17, Long Island, NY

My son had the privilege of participating in Fran's math pod during Kindergarten. From the outset of the class, it was clear that she created a warm, nurturing, and intellectually stimulating environment where bright and curious children could truly thrive. Her creative and engaging approach to teaching math sparked an excitement for learning in my son that has continued to this day.

Each class was thoughtfully designed to make math fun, interactive, and meaningful. Through games, hands-on activities, puzzles, and imaginative problem-solving, the children developed not only strong math skills, but also confidence, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning. This class helped lay the foundation for a lifelong appreciation of math and learning in my child, and for that I will always be grateful!
